Positions of the Foot’s Mobility

When it comes to ballet, understanding the actions and positions of the feet is the second most important thing. The foot is a very complex structure made up of 33 joints, 26 bones, and more than a hundred muscles, tendons, and ligaments that all work together to bear the weight of the body. The foot allows for locomotion and transmits force that allows the body to move beautifully. Mastering the foot is so important for a dancer to be successful.
